Research Overview

The 1mL Disposable Syringe is a laboratory consumable supplied by BME Health as part of the research accessories range. Each syringe is individually sealed in its own envelope, sterilized by ethylene oxide (STERILE|EO), and manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality system with a CE mark (0123). The 1mL barrel is graduated for small-volume work, which is the working range for most reconstituted research solutions prepared from lyophilized powder — the reference calculator on this site expresses its output on the same U-100 scale. Each syringe is single-use: it is not to be re-used, and sterility is not guaranteed if the envelope has been punctured or opened. The box contains 100 syringes. Supplied strictly as a laboratory consumable for research use — not a medical device for human or veterinary use, and not supplied for any clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic application.

Small-volume graduated syringes are standard laboratory equipment for measuring and transferring reconstituted solutions, and the 1mL format is the one most often referenced in preparation protocols where the working volume is a fraction of a millilitre. Single-use, individually sealed units are specified in documented handling procedures because a re-used barrel or plunger introduces both a carryover pathway and a measurement error as the seal degrades. The ISO 13485:2016 marking on the box refers to the manufacturer's quality management system for the device, and EO sterilization refers to the terminal sterilization method applied before the envelope was sealed. All references here describe laboratory handling practice and do not constitute clinical guidance.

Storage & Handling

Store the box in a clean, dry, insect-free location at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and keep each syringe in its sealed envelope until the point of use. Sterility is not guaranteed if an envelope is punctured, torn, or previously opened — discard any unit whose envelope is compromised. Do not re-use a syringe. Discard used syringes into an appropriate rigid sharps or laboratory waste container in accordance with your facility's waste handling procedures and local regulations.

Shipping & Returns

Orders are processed on business days. Packaging is selected to maintain compound integrity in transit. Shipping timelines and return conditions are outlined in full in the Shipping & Returns policy — review before checkout if you have specific requirements. Frequently Asked Questions

Each syringe has a 1mL graduated barrel, and the box contains 100 individually sealed units. The 1mL format covers the working range of most small-volume laboratory preparation work.

Yes — each unit is sterilized by ethylene oxide (STERILE|EO) and sealed in its own envelope, manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality system with a CE mark. Sterility is not guaranteed if the envelope has been punctured, torn, or opened, so any compromised unit should be discarded.

No. These are single-use units, as printed on the box. Re-use compromises both sterility and measurement accuracy as the plunger seal degrades. Discard each unit after use into an appropriate rigid sharps or laboratory waste container.

They are supplied as a general laboratory consumable for measuring and transferring reconstituted research solutions. They are not supplied as a medical device and are not for human or veterinary clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.
